The ninth InterTradeIreland Venture Capital Conference took place in Belfast's Waterfront Hall on 26th May.
The 'back to basics' event which was fully booked out focused on raising the early rounds of equity for early-stage companies. The conference was formally opened by Arlene Foster, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Investment and for the first time representatives of all the island's active venture capital funds took the stage on one panel. This meant that investors with access to over £275 million worth of funds were there on the day.
Representatives of all the Halo business angel networks also took the stage showcasing the role of angels.
